ANDRE CYMONE 1969

additional photography: Katherine Copeland Anderson

A long time client, famed producer, artist and one of the architects of the Minneapolis sound, Andre Cymone’s 5th solo album is steeped in all the sounds and spirit of the era when the civil rights movement met the summer of love. The album’s art needed to reflect that retro spirit while still feeling and looking fresh. The cover art is a mix of original images and shots of Cymone by photographer Katherine Copeland-Anderson, archival photos from woodstock, the civil rights movement and Cymone’s own personal early 70’s photo collection. The package was designed to set the tone for the album’s themes of universal love and righteous protest, while giving his fans plenty of easter eggs to hunt for.

In addition to album artwork, our team has provided Cymone with web design + development, social media marketing, one-sheets, custom art posters, merch design, video editing + art direction and more for nearly a decade.
